This song explores the feelings of a paranoid islander caught up in an 'invasion' of unfamiliar voices. Saki is the voice of 'otherness' singing of reassurance, her beautiful, murmuring lines offering friendship and warmth.
Eventually it dawns on the fearful islander that his isolation is being 'talked to' and the possibility of communication is tantalisingly close.

Voices
What are these voices? What are these voices? Talking to me
Strangers’ voices strangers’ voices talking to me
“TAKE NOTHING FOR GRANTED” they’re talking to me
And the smell of my fear will let all the witches know that I’m here
Alone and frightened and their familiars with the faces of children
Will be looking at me
Whispering voices outside my walls talking to me
What are these voices? Talking to me
Got to get to the root of this terror stalking me
Strangers’ voices talking to me talking to me talking to me talking to me talking to me talking to me talking to me
